A certa altura, minha mãe abandonou esse hábito, deixando um catálogo de flores, frutas e animais. Eu me apropriei deste imenso arsenal de tempo e cuidado que as pequenas figuras contêm para restituí-las em unidade, ordenando-as em formas circulares que evocam, à distância, imagens ambíguas de buquês ou coroa de flores.

Daily, with a small sewing scissors, and while listening to the TV or the radio, she cut and separated them into motifs to later decorate tablecloths and kitchen towels through decoupage crafts. At a certain point, my mother abandoned this habit, leaving behind a catalog of flowers, fruits, and animals. I appropriated this immense arsenal of time and care embodied in those small figures to restore them as a whole. I arranged them into circular shapes that, seen from a distance, might evoke opposite images, both of bouquets or flower crowns.

Executed over three years, this was my silent response to the pandemic, using drawing as a verb of action that requires presence, insistence, and repetition, proposing to intervene in the world also through the suspension of time.
